Data we collect

• Account: email address and authentication identifiers (magic link, Google).
• Photos: images you upload, plus the edits and exports you generate.
• Preference signals (only with your consent): which edit you choose, whether two edits felt too close, whether the final result was better.
• Billing: plan, quota usage and subscription status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Technical: strictly necessary data such as login sessions and rate-limit counters. No advertising trackers, no analytics pixels.

What we use it for

To run the service (editing, library, export), to enforce quotas, to process subscriptions, and — only with your consent — to personalize recommendations.

Personalization

When you authorize personalization, we save anonymous preference signals so future recommendations feel more like you. We never use your photos or their visual content, filenames, dimensions, pixels, image metadata, name, email, or sensitive personal characteristics as taste signals. Authorization is optional; turning it off stops new signals from being used.

Retention

• Photos and edits: deleted within 30 days after you delete them or delete your account.
• Preference signals: deleted with your account, or immediately when you reset your taste profile.
• Billing records: kept 10 years as required by accounting law.

Your rights

From your Library or Profile you can view, export, or delete your data at any time, and reset, export, or disable personalization. For any request (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection), write to tasteit.ai@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days.

Sharing and security

We do not sell your data and never use it for advertising. Sub-processors are limited to infrastructure (hosting, database), email delivery, and Stripe for payments. Data is protected by account authentication, signed asset URLs, and encrypted connections.
